From this high vantage point above the city of nipaluna / Hobart, can be seen the twinkling lights of the city below and the dark line of the River Derwent as it snakes between the two sides of the city.
The Southern Lights (aurora australis) dance above on this cold winter night. Tasmania can be an excellent place to view the aurora.
The Pinnacle Observation shelter has bold and rugged design of the glass and stone and offers one of the most spectacular views in Tasmania.
By day, the extensive network of walking and mountain bike tracks are great ways of exploring the mountain, taking visitors past waterfalls, through fern glades and rock formations.
