Description
This image shows the familiar silhouette of Tasmania’s iconic Cradle Mountain with the Dove Lake boathouse in the foreground.
A pair of wombats waddle their way along the boardwalk.
The colours of the Fagus (nothofagus gunii) are suggested in the hills of this work. Fagus is the only deciduous plant native to Australia. Its bold yellows and oranges make autumn a popular time to visit these wilderness areas.
From an original work in watercolour by Tasmanian artist Sue Holm.
